Ice hockey

The aim of the game is to send a hard rubber disc called the puck into the opponent’s net. It is played on hockey rinks, by six players  in each team. Canada’s most famous ice hockey teams are the Montréal Canadiens.

Lacrosse

Lacrosse was invented by North American Indians, who referred to it as “little war”. French observers called it Lacrosse, probably because to play it you need a stick- une crosse- and a ball. The game was very violent, and Indian players often tried to hurt  even kill their adversaries to bring honor to themselves and their tribes. Today’s game is still a full contact sport, so players need to wear protective equipment.
